Grounds Maintenance

Looking for a new career, why not become the newest member of Peterson Manufacturing's Maintenance department! The Utility/Yard Maintenance associate performs a variety of tasks, as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor. These tasks include driving company vehicles; servicing company products, equipment, and fixtures, and maintaining the appearance and safety of the external environment, building and grounds.

The qualified candidate will have familiarity with principles of carpentry, plumbing, electronics, welding, masonry, and machine mechanics, familiarity with basic chemical properties and safe handling of chemicals, have basic mechanical skills, and have a current class "E" chauffeur licenses if on is available and successfully complete requisite MoDOT training and demonstration of requirements.

The Designer, under direction of the assigned Project Engineers, interprets and executes the company's product designs and provides highly specialized services within each assignment. Additionally, the Designer may be assigned full engineering responsibility for the graphic aspects of a design or project.

Qualifications: A.A. or equivalent, with emphasis in Mechanical Engineering Technology

3 years of progressivley complex engineering experience or equivalent

2 years as a Senior Draftsman or equivalent

Familiarity with G, D & T dimensioning ANSI 14.5

Minimum 5 years experience in Electro-Mechanical Design, with at least 3 years experience designing injection molded plastic parts preferred

Experience using 3D CAD design and experience with unigraphics (EDS) preferred

Must have Solid Works experience


Peterson Manufacturing and Maxi-Seal Harness Systems, subsidiaries of The Peterson Corporate Group, have immediate openings at its manufacturing facility located in Grandview, Missouri. Maxi-Seal is looking for talented Assembler/Molders to work 1st or 2nd shift performing repetitive manual and automated tasks associated with the manufacture of electrical harnesses. Peterson Manufacturing is looking for talented Assemblers to work 1st or 2nd shift performing repetitive manual and automated tasks associated with the manufacture of safety lighting products.

Qualified candidates for both positions must possess:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

These positions require a motivated self-starter with the ability to receive and follow directions, to apply independent judgment and decision-making, and to work effectively in a team environment.

Prior experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus.
