Director of Heavy Duty Sales

Looking for a new and exciting career? Come join our fantastic sales team as the new Director of Heavy Duty Sales. In this position you are responsible for the development and management of territorial sales objectives, OEM, and Fleet accounts.

This position is responsible for keeping abreast of competitive activities and keeping the Vice President of Sales informed of the same, recommending product modifications, new products, packaging requirements, pricing, etc. to fulfill company objectives and properly serve the market demand in the OEM and Fleet areas, and monitoring the sales progress of assigned territorial sales, OEM and Fleet accounts in marketing areas and taking necessary actions to correct unsatisfactory performance, amongst other responsibilities.

The qualified candidate must have a B.A. or B.S., or equivalent, with an emphasis in sales/marketing preferred. The qualified candidate must also have a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in sales/marketing and have a broad knowledge of the original equipment market procedures and policies. The qualified candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and a proven record of utilizing these skills to improve business performance, have strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and proven administrative abilities, and have the ability to earn the respect and confidence of the customer at all levels of their organization, especially Engineering, Purchasing, and Executives.

Surface Mount Technician

Looking for an exciting new career? Come join our Automation Group as our new Surface Mount Technician.

The Surface Mount Technician, under the direction of the Production Manager, is responsible for the repair and upkeep for surface mounted manufacturing equipment. The Surface Mount Technician assists process technicians with programming related issues and supports production to meet operating requirements, performs scheduled work order tasks and reviews equipment accuracy to ensure optimal machine performance, and uses his/her technical background to solve a wide variety of machine problems.

The qualified candidate must have a 2 year degree in the Technician Electronics field, must have experience working in the SMT or Automation field, and must have experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD. The qualified candidate will also have experience reading and understanding machine schematics and experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.

Custodian

Peterson Manufacturing has an immediate openings in their Housekeeping department. The Custodian keeps the building in a clean and orderly condition. In addition to routine custodial duties, the Custodian is responsible for notifying Maintenance or the appropriate Supervisor of conditions that warrant further attention.

The qualified candidate must have a High School Diploma, or equivalent, knowledge of which cleaning substances should be used during particular operations (e.g., cleaning lavatory fixtures), ability to detect potential problems (e.g., slow leaks) before they become major and to notify appropriate personnel, sufficient knowledge of chemical properties to avoid mixing incompatible substances together, equipment training (e.g. buffers, sweepers), and experience following directions and interpreting basic schedules. The qualified candidate must also have the ability to perform repetitive motions, have substantial upper body strength, thoroughness and ability to assess the cleanliness of assigned areas, and have respect for others' belongings that are left in work areas.

Grounds Maintenance

The Grounds Maintenance associate performs a variety of tasks including driving company vehicles, servicing equipment, upholding safety standards, and maintaining a clean and welcoming appearance of Peterson’s external environment, building and grounds.

The qualified candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2-3 years grounds maintenance experience preferred. The qualified candidate will also have the ability to obtain and maintain a Class E driver's license and MoDOT certification, ability to safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment, familiarity with principles of carpentry, plumbing, and machine mechanics, familiarity with basic chemical properties and safe handling of chemicals, basics understanding of irrigation systems, and basic mechanical skills.

Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer coordinates the tooling, equipment, assembly methods, and other related functions to ensure that products are manufactured in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. In this capacity, the Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Purchasing, Production, and others within the organization.

The qualified candidate must have a B.S. in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering with mfg. experience, or equivalent with advanced training preferred. The qualified candidate must also have a minimum of 3-5 years of direct manufacturing experience with increasingly responsible engineering assignments, experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Products, and Electronic and/or Automation experience is a plus.

Receptionist

Peterson has an immediate opening for a Receptionist. The receptionist operates the telephone PBX and greets visitors in the front lobby. The Receptionist also informs associates of the arrival of their visitors and performs Customer Service functions, as time allows.

Must have a High School education or equivalent.

Must have a minimum of 2 years of clerical experience, with specific experience with telephone systems helpful.

Must have good knowledge of standard office procedures and basic office principles.

Assembler

Peterson Manufacturing has immediate openings for Assembler positions on both 1st and 2nd Shift. An Assembler produces finished or semi-finished product and readies them for shipment to the customer.

The actual assembly work involves interpretation of the assembly instructions; monitoring and replenishment of component supplies; and both manual and automated assembly operations. Post-assembly work involves visually inspecting and counting product; packing product in approved containers; and labeling packed containers.

The qualified candidate must have a High School Diploma, or equivalent, have the ability to read and accurately interpret assembly instructions and blueprints, ability to lift and transport containers weighing up to 50 pounds, have sufficient hand-eye coordination to either manually assemble components or to regulate the operations of an automated assembly machine, and have physical stamina to routinely perform repetitive, manual assembly procedures that require constant bending, stooping, and twisting while in a seated or standing position.
