SMT Process Engineer

We are seeking an SMT Process Engineer to join our team! The SMT Process Engineer determines operations to produce products and develops processes to ensure quality, cost, efficiency, and safety requirements are met. In addition, the SMT Process Engineer troubleshoots problems with production in his/her assigned area(s) and implements corrective actions as required.

Responsibilities: •Evaluates, implements, and monitors processes and operating systems for the manufacture of parts and components in assigned area(s) •Responsible for establishing and evaluating Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing processes, with high focus on the SMT •Maintain manufacturing procedures for all PCBA manufacturing processes and provide recommendations and rationalizations for improvements •Support prototypes, expedites and DFM recommendations •Provide programming and technical support for the SMT process equipment used in PCBA manufacturing: solder paste printing, solder paste inspection, pick and place, and thermal profile monitoring system •Creates, edits, and maintain requisite documentation •Responsible for preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and repair of SMT equipment •Monitors and improves the efficiency, output, and safety of manufacturing processes through observation and measurement as well as by collecting and interpreting data •Works closely with Purchasing and Engineering for quality control of raw materials and components •Assumes responsibility of safety/environmental compliance and performance of processes •Participates in the process of evaluating and purchasing new equipment and/or upgrades to existing equipment

Qualifications: •Technical Degree (EE, ME, or Engineering Technology), and/or certified Professional SMT designation, or equivalent experience •Minimum of 3 years of engineering in a manufacturing setting demonstrating increased responsibility •Familiarity with federal and state laws as well as the content and meaning of SAE, FMVSS, and ANSI standards applying to Peterson Products •Ability to create robust processes •Hands on experience with soldering and prototyping circuits

Director of Heavy Duty Sales

Looking for a new and exciting career? Come join our fantastic sales team as the new Director of Heavy Duty Sales. In this position you are responsible for the development and management of territorial sales objectives, OEM, and Fleet accounts.

This position is responsible for keeping abreast of competitive activities and keeping the Vice President of Sales informed of the same, recommending product modifications, new products, packaging requirements, pricing, etc. to fulfill company objectives and properly serve the market demand in the OEM and Fleet areas, and monitoring the sales progress of assigned territorial sales, OEM and Fleet accounts in marketing areas and taking necessary actions to correct unsatisfactory performance, amongst other responsibilities.

The qualified candidate must have a B.A. or B.S., or equivalent, with an emphasis in sales/marketing preferred. The qualified candidate must also have a minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in sales/marketing and have a broad knowledge of the original equipment market procedures and policies. The qualified candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and a proven record of utilizing these skills to improve business performance, have strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and proven administrative abilities, and have the ability to earn the respect and confidence of the customer at all levels of their organization, especially Engineering, Purchasing, and Executives.

Custodian

Peterson Manufacturing has an immediate openings in their Housekeeping department. The Custodian keeps the building in a clean and orderly condition. In addition to routine custodial duties, the Custodian is responsible for notifying Maintenance or the appropriate Supervisor of conditions that warrant further attention.

The qualified candidate must have a High School Diploma, or equivalent, knowledge of which cleaning substances should be used during particular operations (e.g., cleaning lavatory fixtures), ability to detect potential problems (e.g., slow leaks) before they become major and to notify appropriate personnel, sufficient knowledge of chemical properties to avoid mixing incompatible substances together, equipment training (e.g. buffers, sweepers), and experience following directions and interpreting basic schedules. The qualified candidate must also have the ability to perform repetitive motions, have substantial upper body strength, thoroughness and ability to assess the cleanliness of assigned areas, and have respect for others' belongings that are left in work areas.

Grounds Maintenance

The Grounds Maintenance associate performs a variety of tasks including driving company vehicles, servicing equipment, upholding safety standards, and maintaining a clean and welcoming appearance of Peterson’s external environment, building and grounds.

The qualified candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2-3 years grounds maintenance experience preferred. The qualified candidate will also have the ability to obtain and maintain a Class E driver's license and MoDOT certification, ability to safely operate and maintain company vehicles and equipment, familiarity with principles of carpentry, plumbing, and machine mechanics, familiarity with basic chemical properties and safe handling of chemicals, basics understanding of irrigation systems, and basic mechanical skills.

Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer coordinates the tooling, equipment, assembly methods, and other related functions to ensure that products are manufactured in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. In this capacity, the Manufacturing Engineer works closely with Purchasing, Production, and others within the organization.

The qualified candidate must have a B.S. in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering with mfg. experience, or equivalent with advanced training preferred. The qualified candidate must also have a minimum of 3-5 years of direct manufacturing experience with increasingly responsible engineering assignments, experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Products, and Electronic and/or Automation experience is a plus.
